LawtechUK Alumni Showcase event photography - March 2025

A return to the Guildhall in York during March for some event photography for LawtechUK (whose launch event I had previously photographed last summer in the same venue). This event showcased UK lawtech products that had been through the programme. It also had pitches and talks to current and potential investors plus networking over lunch, coffee and cakes. LawtechUK run everything quite relaxed so it was very chill and no high stress (even for the speakers and pitchers) - having been to many networking events this is the way it should be.

The Guildhall itself is an excellent venue to photograph events in - a real photographer's treat. The light is fantastic without being overwhelming and there’s plenty of shadows and shapes to highlight your subjects with. Part of this is watching the stained glass window’s reflection creeping across the hall like a giant clock during the day.
